With the rest of the house having oversized sized features including 4m high ceilings and large rooms, the primary focus internally was to take size into consideration when doing the joinery design and use the space effectively.
We focused on creating a Hamptons inspired kitchen using white shaker panels for the joinery along with the classic subway tiles for the splashback. We had a custom range hood designed and sprayed in a liquid zinc coating. The island bench was designed to be wider to accommodate for the large space of the kitchen so everything looks proportionate.
We complimented this with concealed shaker joinery cupboards hidden in the front of the island bench to utilise storage space.
To create the perfect space for the oversized en-suite we changed the position of the bathtub to centre with the window giving impact to the room. The en-suite bathroom features his and hers double vanity with double sided mirrors that now complimented the size.
The joinery made the excess space feel functional and the finer details improved the look and feel of the home.
