The internal layout was reconfigured to create an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area that links to the deck and yard. Bringing these everyday spaces together has changed the way the ground floor works, giving the home a more natural flow between cooking, relaxing and entertaining.
A new laundry was also added to the ground floor, making practical use of the space while supporting the home’s refreshed layout. Carefully considered joinery helps the rooms feel cohesive and functional.
Throughout the interiors, a palette of neutral, earthy tones creates warmth without overwhelming the spaces. Warm timber and beige stone bring texture and softness, while brushed nickel tapware adds a subtle contemporary finish. In the laundry, sesame finger tiles introduce a detail that gives the room its own character while sitting comfortably within the broader palette.
Through drafting, joinery design and interior selections, the renovation has brought the ground floor together as one inviting living space, with a stronger connection to the deck and yard.
